Morning phone call - Llamada esta manana

This Wednesday morning we called Carlos Marulanda, the director of Los Pisingos, to thank him for the letter we had received from the children's home earlier this month welcoming us to the program.

It was a brief conversation, and Carlos told us to be patient. The committee meets every Wednesday to review potential parents and match them with the babies at Los Pisingos. The good news Carlos shared with us is that we should get our baby within 60 days!

Esta manana llamamos a Carlos Marulanda, el director de Los Pisingos, para agradecerle por la carta que recibimos del la casa hace dos semanas, en la carta nos dio el bienvenido al programa de Los Pisingos.

La conversacion con Carlos fue corta, y nos dijo que hay que tener paciencia. El comite se reune cada miercoles para revisar los padres potenciales y identificar el bebe perfecto para ellos. Las buenas noticias que nos dio fueron que debemos recibir nuestro bebe entre los proximos 60 dias!

We celebrated Thankgiving this year with Jaimie's family at her parent's house. Our friends Carlos and Diana joined us for a very warm and enjoyable day. We have much to be thankful for, and we couldn't help but think of the little person who will soon join us!

Este ano celebramos el dia de la accion de gracias con la familia de Jaimie en la casa de los papas de ella. Nuestros amigos Carlos y Diana fueron tambien y disfrutamos un dia muy especial. Tenemos mucho en la vida para que somos muy agradecidos, y pensamos mucho en la pequena persona quien muy pronto estara con nosotros!

We spoke with Edelmira and Jose tonight. On Friday, they had a party at Los Pisingos for the children to celebrate All Saints Day. At the party, Edelmira talked with Carlos, the director of the children's home, and he said that they had received all of our papers and had sent them to ICBF (Colombian Institute of Social Welfare); that everything was in good order.

Now what? Perhaps we'll hear something relatively soon... until then, we wait patiently.

Esta noche hablamos con mis suegros. El viernes, habia una fiesta en Los Pisingos para celebrar el dia de todos los santos, y en la fiesta Edelmira se encontraba con Carlos, el director de la casa, Carlos dijo que ya habian recibido todos nuestros papeles y los mandaron para ICBF y que todo se veia bien.

Ahora que? Quizas nos cuentan algo pronto... y hasta ese momento, esperamos con pacienca y calma.
