Pisingos and visitors

My great aunt Sofia Cogua came to visit me this morning. We had a great time playing together and she fed me papilla de granadilla and then we went for a walk to buy her a belated Christmas present. On the way to the store, we stopped and bought San Geronimo ice cream - it comes in all kinds of flavors and my abuelita let me try the flavor guanabana... mmmm!
My godfather, Hamilton comes to visit me on Thursdays. I always great him with a big smile!

Yesterday we went to Pisingos to take a parenting class. Mateo went with us and we got to meet 3 additional adoptive parents and their babies. It was incredible to see the match - how each of the children looked like their parents! While at Pisingos, we met with Carlos Marulanda, the director who helped us during the process of transferring to Pisingos and adopting Mateo. Carlos is a kind-hearted man, and it was very good to meet him and thank him in person.

My abuelita Edelmira volunteers at Pisingos on Monday nights. This is a picture of her with Rafael, one of her favorite little people. Rafael wanted to take "all of the pictures" with his "Tia" and with Jose Fernando.

Jose Fernando and Rafael. He likes to tell people how big he is now that he graduated to the big kids room... "soy yande!" (I'm big!) he says while showing off his muscles, which is especially cute because it's supposed to be "soy grande."

Mateo crawling on the conference table in Carlos Marulanda's office in Pisingos. While Mateo crawled, Carlos checked to see if our paperwork had already gone through to the courts. It turns out that we have been assigned "Judge #4," who is apparently one of the better judges. Still no news on a timeline other than the estimated 6 weeks.
