Orphanages - Los orfanatos

In May, my mom and I went to Colombia to visit my in-laws and to check out some of the orphanages in Bogota. We had the opportunity to visit 5 different orphanages, all of which offered a wonderful program for pregnant women, their newborn babies, and children who have been abandoned or neglected by their parents and come to the orphanages through the government social welfare system (ICBF). Here are three of the orphanages we visited: Los Pisingos, CRAN and Ayudame.

En mayo, mi mama y yo fuimos a Colombia a visitar mis suegros y para visitar algunos orfanatos en Bogota. Teniamos la oportunidad visitar 5 orfanatos diferentes, y encontramos que todos ofrecen programas muy buenas para las mujeres esperando y sus bebes, y para los ninos abandonados o abusados que llegan a los orfanatos dentro del ICBF. Aqui hay fotos de tres orfanatos que visitamos: Los Pisingos, CRAN y Ayudame.

My mom LOVED Colombia - we did so much in 10 days! My mother and father-in-law and all of Jose's family were wonderful hosts, and we really had so much fun. Some of the treats my mom enjoyed in Colombia: mangos, fresh flowers, masorca, desserts from Alpina, and of course ... coffee! It was wondeful to spend such special time with my mom and for her to meet everyone so special to us in Bogota. Thank you my sweet Edelmira and Jose! Without your help, we wouldn't be in such a good spot in this process!

A mi mama le encanto todo en Colombia - hicimos mucho en los 10 dias que estabamos. Mis suegros y toda la familia de Jose Fernando fueron muy buenos anfilriones y nos divertimos mucho. Algunas cosas que mi mama disfrutaba mucho: mango, flores, masorca y postres de Alpina, y claro ... el tinto! Fue muy especial compartir ese tiempo con mi mama para que ella conociera la gente en Bogota que son tan especiales para con nosotros. Muchas gracias mis queridos suegros! Sin el ayuda de los dos, no estariamos tan bien puestos en este proceso. Los queremos mucho!
